Frequently Asked Questions
Yes I can dry almost any flower, some change colour, and some don't look great after drying but any flower can be dried. The only exceptions are succulents, or flowers filled with water.
The process is quite long, and I prefer to take my time. Drying takes at least two weeks — flowers need to be properly dried to hold their colour in resin. The resin part then takes at least a week, and then there are some finishing techniques I use to make your piece look amazing. So depending on how busy I am it could take up to a month or more (during the wedding season I process flowers in the order that they come in so it can take longer). The most important thing is to get the flowers dried as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately not, there are various things that will alter the look of the flowers in resin. White flowers can turn yellow or brown, reds turn darker. Bruised flowers will turn translucent. Feel free to ask about particular flowers you intend to use.
The short answer is yes — during wedding season especially you do need to book in to ensure I have availability to take your flowers. I only take four bouquets a week and if you have not booked in and paid your deposit I cannot guarantee I will have space for you.
Yes you can dry your own flowers. You can air dry your flowers by hanging them upside down in a warm, dry, well ventilated place. They won't have the same colour retention as the method I use but they will still be reminiscent of your bouquet.
